‘GS’ stands for ‘Gruppo Saturo’, or, to non-Italians, saturated brew group. Here, La Marzocco looks to its illustrious past for inspiration. The mechanical paddle available in the MP version is inspired by the original mechanical group used on the 1970 La Marzocco GS - the first dual-boiler machine with saturated group-heads. This modern classic is hand-made in Florence and is a must for the perfectionist and espresso coffee enthusiast.
The new conical valve system assures progressive control of water flow and pressure via an internal orifice, before applying full pressure. The new conical paddle valve controls the pre-infusion while the volumetric pump is working at full pressure. This dynamic system allows the barista to reduce channeling for a more balanced extraction.
The GS3 comes packed with commercial-grade features such as dual stainless-steel boilers, power steaming functionality, PID temperature control, volumetric pump, and variable temperature regulation.
