Moplaco has acquired a boutique washing station nestled in the Bensa district of Sidamo, surrounded by lush forests and a pristine running river. This facility serves as the central hub for Moplaco’s experimental processing efforts. This season, they have processed 108 tons of bright, distinctive coffee characterised by deep complexity, encompassing various lots, including washed, honey, sundried, and experimental varieties.
This exquisite coffee is meticulously honey-processed: cherries are washed, graded, and then dried for 2 to 3 weeks, turned by hand three times daily, and shielded during peak sunlight hours.
