ETHIOPIAN YIRGACHEFFE COFFEE
Despite ongoing challenges, this exceptional coffee has reached us from Gedeb, a region at 1880 meters above sea level between Yirgacheffe and Guji. Fertile land, tropical climate, and rich red soil create its unique flavour profile. Sourced from around 200 smallholding farmers, who are paid fairly and supported through community projects like building schools, this coffee contributes directly to local development.
The beans undergo fermentation and careful roasting to enhance their full-bodied, aromatic profile. After resting in parchment for 4-6 months, the coffee develops a pronounced sweetness and complexity. Yirgacheffe, renowned for its specialty sun dried coffees, holds a special place in the coffee world for its heritage and exceptional quality.
