Our stepless, infinite adjustment dial is a no-click mechanism, giving you complete control over your grind size, with an adjustment precision of 2 microns per degree of rotation across all brewing methods.

While designed primarily for espresso, the Feld47 has earned accolades for its performance with filter coffee as well. The Italmill burrs allow the natural sweetness of your beans to shine through, delivering a full-bodied experience. Unlike other hand grinders in this price range, the Feld47 requires no additional accessories for outstanding espresso results—it's ready to deliver right out of the box for any espresso machine, whether it's a retro manual lever, an e61 HX prosumer, or the latest model from Florence.

A glance reveals that we've incorporated some design elements from the successful 2022 upgrade of our best-selling Aergrind. The most notable change is the switch from a travel-formatted, flat steel crank arm to a beautifully rigid fixed rod crank arm, providing an improved 'direct drive' feel to the grind. This enhancement has allowed us to tighten tolerances even further, making grinding at the Turkish level feel almost effortless.

At the heart of the grind is a precision-ground, marine-grade steel shaft encased in a solid, one-piece core, supported by two large food-grade bearings. Paired with the fixed crank arm, this setup creates a super solid, direct-response mechanism with zero movement, making grinding with the Feld47 remarkably easy.

We've also elevated the quality of the finishing touches at the top of the grinder. There's a satisfying new magnetic mounting system for both the dial lid and the bronze and walnut knob. Paying homage to the past, we've added a graceful retro Knock logo pointer for the setting indicator, which complements the etched aluminum of the new dial.

The grinds cup has also seen improvements, with the old rubber o-ring fitment replaced by a custom-machined, precision-threaded lower section for a more secure and longer-lasting fit. This design also enables a smoother, more controlled pour from the catch cup, which is perfectly sized to work with portafilters ranging from 51 to 58mm—essentially functioning as a built-in dosing cup.

Powered by light-commercial 47mm Italmill golden titanium-nitrided burrs, all these enhancements combine to make the Feld47 our best home grinder yet. While it's built for espresso, it performs equally well with filter and immersion brews.
